New Delhi : A total of 251 cases of disproportionate assets (DA) were filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the last three years (2009-2012), the Lok Sabha was informed Wednesday.
“The CBI has registered 251 disproportionate assets cases from 2009 till July 31, 2012,” Minister of State for Personnel, Public grievances and Pensions V. Nayarayansamy said.
Of these 251 cases, the CBI filed charge sheets in 120 cases and 81 cases are still under investigation.
While 84 cases were registered in 2009, 66 cases came to the fore in 2010.
In 2011, the CBI registered 62 cases while in 2012, till July 31, 39 cases were filed.
