New Delhi : R.K. Mathur, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre 1977 batch, has been appointed defence production secretary in the defence ministry, a statement said Thursday.
Mathur, presently secretary in the micro, small and medium enterprises ministry, will replace Shekhar Agarwal on his retirement on Sep 30.
The appointments committee of the cabinet has approved Mathur’s appointment, and some others.
Rashmi Verma, IAS Bihar 1982 batch, presently joint secretary in the department of defence production is to take over as additional secretary, revenue in the finance ministry, replacing Shashi Shekhar, IAS Tamil Nadu, 1981 batch, the statement said.
Ajay Narayan Jha, IAS Manipur-Tripura, 1982 batch, presently joint secretary and financial adviser, human resource development ministry, has been appointed Officer on Special Duty in the advance cell of the 14th Finance Commission, in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
