29-year-old elected president of Bombay Bullion Association

Mumbai : The Bombay Bullion Association, the apex industry association, has got its youngest president, 29-year-old Mohit Kamboj, an official said here Monday.

The chairman and managing director of KBJ Mohit Kamboj Group of Companies, Kamboj took over Monday from Prithviraj Kothari.

Kamboj was elected unopposed to the prestigious post by its 15-member board of directors for the period 2012-14.

Besides heading the corporate group with diverse business interests including bullion, jewellery, realty, hospitality and entertainment, Kamboj has been active in various social welfare activities.

Among Kamboj’s social initiatives are awarding the Shaurya Puraskar for bravery, seeking to reward those who face exceptional challenges. This award was initiated by the KBJ Kambhoj Group in 2009.

He also supports the SOS Children’s Villages.

This year, Kambhoj was honoured with the Dynamic Personality in Gold Industry-2012 award at the 9th International Gold Convention 2012 in Hyderabad.
