New Delhi: The fifth and final day of ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Wednesday saw a cocktail of bold 1970s glamour and the rich, sensual mysteries of Morocco with designer trio Ashish, Viral and Vikrant’s “Moroccan Mystery” collection.

The Delhi-based trio, who design for the label “Virtues”, took inspiration from Moroccan culture and lifestyle for the collection which took the audience to a world of exotic Middle Eastern
glamour, inspired by Moorish art and designs of Marrakesh.

With a lot of colours, it had silks and prints in saturated tones with sparkling silver
metallic work.

“Since it is all inspired from Morocco, we have used a lots of colours, flowing fabrics and easy to wear dresses. Since the garments have simple cuts, we did a lot of detailing on the sleeves to give an element of design with springs, gathers and bands in the front,” Ashish told reporters after the show concluded.

The colours were sunshine yellow, salmon pink, sea green, beige, ivory and indigo. Digital prints, summer dresses, kaftans and robes were a part of the collection, which used fabrics like chanderi, tussar, organza and light linens.

“The price range starts from Rs.5,000 and goes up to Rs.22,000. The USP of the collection is that it is simple, elegant, easy to wear and has a lot of colours,” said Vikrant.
