CBI raids mine owner’s offices, houses in Odisha

Bhubaneswar : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Monday conducted raids at residential and business premises of a mines owner in Odisha, a CBI official said.

The raids were conducted at the houses and offices of Prashant Ahluwalia in the steel city of Rourkela, 514 km from here, in connection with the recent alleged coal block allocation scam.

A special CBI team from New Delhi conducted the raids with the help of its local unit, a senior official of the local CBI office told IANS. However, the official did not disclose details of the outcome of the raids.

Ahluwalia and his family members have been engaged in mining activities in Odisha’s Sundergarh and Keonjhar districts.
