Mumbai: Staffers of the troubled Kingfisher Airlines received the news of the carrier’s license being suspended with shock and dismay here Saturday.
“It is sad and shocking. We now expect the management to sort out issues with the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation and get the suspension revoked,” a senior employee of the company, who did not wish to be identified, told IANS.
Despite repeated attempts, top Kingfisher officials here remained unavailable for comments on the developments in the capital. The airlines Friday extended its partial lock-out till Oct 23.
The senior staffer added that the talks with the Kingfisher management were on and expressed hope that “something positive” would emerge from the salary negotiations.
“We only wanted our salaries, not the closure of the airlines, which is our source of livelihood,” the staffer said.
