Mirati (West Bengal): He is still short of time and his schedule may not have changed but Pranab Mukherjee, after being elevated to the presidency, admits he is now more relaxed.
“Time I don’t think I have,” Mukherjee told media persons at his native village in Birbhum district. He touched down here Saturday to conduct Durga Puja rituals at his ancestral house.
Mukherjee, however, said the nature of his job has changed.
“My schedule has not changed. Nature of job has changed. I am not in a tearing hurry as I used to be in the ministry. It’s more relaxed,” he added.
Mukherjee who became the country’s constitutional head in July, held key portfolios at the central government during a distinguished political career spread over four decades.
