Munda ask officials to focus on development

By IANS,

Ranchi : About a week after JMM chief Shibu Soren said there would be a change of guard in Jharkhand after the Arjun Munda government completes its 28 months in power, the chief minister Monday urged the officials to stay focused on development work in spite of political developments in the state.

“The officials should focus on the development work in the state instead of political development. The system should function,” Munda said in reply to a question on Soren’s comment in Simdega, around 175 km from here, during his ‘Johar (gratitude) Yatra’.

Munda began the second phase of his Johar Yatra Sunday to take stock of development work in Maoist-affected districts of Simdega, Gumla and Loghardagga.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is a key alliance partner of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Munda, which was formed in September 2010 with the support of the JMM and some other parties.
