In the name of controlling law and order, Hyderabad police has curbed the human rights and civil liberties of the people and the city has become the barrack of police, CLMC statement said.

“In short we can say that their normal life has crumbled… to maintain peace and harmony,” the committee statement said, adding “this committee believes that by taking the advantage of these issues grave violation of civil liberties is taking in that part of city. The role of police is highly objectionable…”

It also appealed to state human rights commission to direct the police commissioner to restore normalcy and withdraw section 144.
