New Delhi : President Pranab Mukherjee will launch a nation-wide campaign for awareness against malnutrition Nov 19, the birth anniversary of late prime minister Indira Gandhi, a statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan said Friday.
According to the statement, the prime minister’s national council on India’s nutritional challenges took a decision to launch the campaign coordinated by the ministry of women and child development.
The campaign aims at creating awareness about nutrition challenges, its importance and the need to mobilise communities on the issue.
