Islamabad : At least two security personnel were killed and seven others injured in a bomb explosion targeting a security convoy in North Waziristan region of Pakistan.
The Tehrik-e-Taliban’s Jundullah group claimed responsibility for the blast, saying it was to avenge the death of their slain comrade Ahmed Bengali who was earlier killed in a drone strike in North Waziristan, the Dawn reported citing sources.
The security forces’ convoy was on routine patrol when it came under attack of a remote-controlled bomb planted near the road in Mir Ali area. Two security personnel died on the spot in the high intensity blast.
