Ranchi : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ragubar Das, a former Jharkhand deputy chief minister will be conferred the best legislator award, the state assembly speaker announced Wednesday.
“Raghubar Das has been chosen by the committee for the best legislator award. He fulfils all the criteria set for the best legislator” Jharkhand assembly Speaker C.P. Singh said.
The award will be conferred Thursday on 12th anniversary of the state assembly.
Das is a BJP legislator from Jamshedpur. He is legislator since 1995. He was deputy chief minister in 2010 when Shibu Soren was chief minister of the state. He was state BJP president for three years till 2010.
Das has expressed happiness over the announcement of the award.
