Islamabad : Police have arrested a person for being involved in an alleged gang rape of two Japanese students in the central Pakistani city of Lahore, officials said on Saturday.
The girls, who have been studying Urdu for the past six months, were lured to a house in the Gulberg area for a party where three men took turns to rape them.
"One of the three accused, who is also the owner of the house, was arrested after the victims lodged a report," Lahore police chief Aftab Cheema said.
The culprits gave the girls cold drinks laced with alcohol before the assault, he said.
The Japanese embassy in Pakistan has been informed about the incident.
