Islamabad: At least 17 soldiers were killed Sunday in two bomb attacks on army vehicles in Pakistan, media reports said.
A powerful roadside bomb exploded after 2 p.m. when a military convoy was on its way from Razmak to Miranshah in the restive North Waziristan, killing 14 soldiers and wounding 21, Xinhua reported.
The second blast took place about an hour later when another army convoy was hit by a remote-controlled bomb in Shabqadar town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing three soldiers.
A third army vehicle hit a landmine in Mohmand Agency, another tribal area in northwest Pakistan, leaving three soldiers wounded.
No group claimed responsibility for the bombings.
