Kabul : A Taliban militant held in temporary detention Friday snatched a gun, opened fire and killed two policemen in Afghanistan, Xinhua reported.
The incident took place in Takhar province, 250 km north of Kabul, police said.
Police arrested the Taliban man Thursday and kept him in a temporary lockup. But the militant managed to snatch a gun from a policeman and opened fire, killing two police personnel on the spot, police spokesman Abdul Khalil Asir said.
The militant was injured in the return fire by police.
