New Delhi : At least two men were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding truck here, police said Monday.
“The accident happened Sunday midnight, near Safdarjang hospital in south Delhi. Manish and Anish, in their early 20’s, were hit by a truck going towards Dhaula Kuan,” said a police officer.
After being hit, the men came under the wheels of the truck, while their bike dragged over a kilometre.
The duo, who were headed towards their home died on the spot. They worked as chefs in a hotel in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas village, added the officer.
The truck driver Mohammad Shafiq, a resident of Mewat in Haryana was arrested.
