Lucknow : Four people were killed and six critically wounded late Tuesday when a speeding truck hit their car head on in Etah, police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Etah Ajay Mohan Sharma told IANS that the car belonged to Munesh of Nagla Kanauli. He was going home with his ailing wife from Etah district hospital with his relatives when the accident took place.
Those killed were Rahul, 22, Munesh, 45, Choti, 50, and Kapoori Devi, 50. Six others in the car were seriously injured.
The bodies of the dead have been sent for autopsy and the injured have been admitted to a medical facility. The condition of two was stated to be critical.
The accident took place near the Singhpur village in Rijor area, 234 km from Lucknow.
