The Valley has witnessed tension since March 5 when 24-year-old Tahir Lateef Sofi, among the protestors demanding the return of executed parliament attack convict Afzal Guru’s body, was killed allegedly in firing by security forces in north Kashmir’s Baramulla.
A total of about 230 people, including protestors and security personnel, were injured in clashes since then in the valley and many sensitive parts placed under curfew.
The governor and the chief minister also discussed several other important matters, including the release of annual plan funds by the central government.
