Kolkata : The BJP Monday demanded an impartial probe into the alleged suicide in the Tihar Jail of the main accused in the Delhi gang-rape of Dec 16.
“It is an unfortunate incident. There must be an impartial probe,” Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh told the media here.
According to jail officials, Ram Singh, 35, hanged himself early Monday in his prison cell. He was the driver of the bus in which the 23-year-old woman was raped by six males. She died in Singapore.
