New Delhi : An Air India call centre in Gurgaon near here has received an email threat to blow up the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in January, officials said Monday.
“The email threat was received Saturday to blow up the IGI airport and some other airports across the country,” Chander Sharma, an airline official, told IANS.
Gurgaon Police as well as Delhi Police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) – both responsible for airport security – have been informed, said Sharma.
Vertul Singh, CISF spokesperson, said all necessary security measures are in place and concerned officials have been alerted.
