Shimla : The President of Mauritius Anerood Jugnauth is on a two- day private visit to Shimla.
The president arrived here Monday, and strolled with his wife Sarojini on Shimla’s Mall Road clad in heavy woollens in the evening. They stopped at a few stores for shopping.
Jugnauth is of Indian origin and has also served as Prime Minister of the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius in the 1980s.
The Mauritian president has been on a private visit in India since Dec 13. He will return to New Delhi late Tuesday, sources said.
