Dubai : Dubai will host an international conference on coastal and port engineering to be attended by some 1,000 marine engineers and scientists.
The conference, organised by Dubai Municipality in cooperation with the Brussels-based International Navigation Association (PIANC), is scheduled Feb 24-28, WAM news agency reported Sunday.
Khaled Al Zahid, deputy head of the local organising committee, said the theme of the conference would be “Best Practices in the Coastal Environment”.
The conference will discuss topics like coastal and port infrastructure engineering, ports and marina management and planning, development of sea frontage and coastal stabilisation, monitoring of beach movement, coastal areas and environment management, coastal area risk management and short-distance ship cargo and marine navigation.
