New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sunday demanded a court-monitored investigation into the communal clashes in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district that have left at least 12 people dead.
Party vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told IANS that the Uttar Pradesh government has failed to control the violence and take firm steps to nab people involved in the communal violence.
“Some ministers have added fuel to the fire,” Naqvi alleged, terming the violence as “state-sponsored”.
“There should be proper investigation under the supervision of judiciary,” he said.
