New Delhi : Former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s brother Shahbaz Thursday said the assassination of Benazir Bhutto shows that the country was “heading for a very serious problem.”
“Pakistan is heading for a very serious problem. God knows how we will control it,” he said.
Demanding an independent enquiry to probe the suicide attack on the former prime minister during an election rally at Rawalpindi, he said: “it cannot happen under General Pervez Musharraf
“It is a very sad day for Pakistan. … a very terrible day,” he said, adding that his brother was “deeply hurt”.
“We (Bhutto) were frequently meeting in London and we got to know each other very well,” he said.
