Accra: Fourteen people were confirmed dead in a grisly road accident which occurred in a small Ghanaian town, about 170 km east of the national capital, Monday.
The accident, which took place at Antado, near Komenda, around 11.00 a.m., involved an articulated truck, a Sprinter bus and a Toyota Pick-up, police confirmed, Xinhua reported.
The driver of the articulated truck was said to have lost control of the vehicle after it burst one of its tires and ran into the bus.
The casualties were mainly from the mini-bus, carrying 23 passengers. But the two occupants of the Toyota Pick-up survived, the report said.
