New Delhi : President Pranab Mukherjee Wednesday accepted the resignation of Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Kumari Selja from the council of ministers.
As advised by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the president has directed Railways Minister Mallikarjun Kharge to take charge of Selja’s ministry, an official statement said.
The Congress Tuesday announced that Selja will be one of its nominees for the biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha.
