The case was filed against Musharraf for confining more than 60 judges of the superior court after imposing Emergency Nov 3, 2007.

Public prosecutor Nadeem Tabish, Musharraf’s lawyer Ilyas Siddiqui and two of the former president’s guarantors appeared before ATC court Judge Atiqur Rehman for the hearing, reported the Dawn online.

Siddiqui submitted Musharraf’s medical report and informed the court that the former army chief had yet to recover. He asked the court to grant him exemption from appearing before it.

The public prosecutor objected to the request, saying Musharraf has failed to appear on many occasions and requested the court to take action against him.

The court granted exemption to the former president and adjourned the case till Feb 24.
