New Delhi: The BJP could secure between 41 and 49 seats in Uttar Pradesh and 22-30 seats in Bihar in alliance with the LJP if Lok Sabha polls were held now, said a CNN-IBN/IBN7-CSDS survey released Wednesday.
According to CNN-IBN/IBN7-CSDS election tracker for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Bihar’s ruling Janata Dal-United was projected to secure between four and eight seats while Congress was projected to secure between two and six seats in the state.
“BJP-LJP combine projected to secure between 22 and 30 seats in Bihar if LS polls are held today,” a release said.
It said the Rashtriya Janata Dal was projected to secure between two and six seats. The state has 40 Lok Sabha seats.
“BJP vote share in Bihar drops one percent since January tracker; projected to secure 38 percent votes in February,” the release said.
The release said that in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP was projected to secure between 41 and 49 seats if Lok Sabha polls are held today
The Samajwadi Party was projected to secure between 11 and 17 seats while Bahujan Samaj Party was projected to secure between eight and fourteen seats, the release said.
Congress was projected to get between five and nine seats in Uttar Pradesh which has 80 Lok Sabha seats.
“BJP projected to secure 36 percent of vote share in UP; a drop of 2 percent since the January tracker. SP projected to secure 22 percent vote share in UP; a rise of 5 percent since January tracker,” it said.
The release said that BSP was projected to secure 17 percent vote share in UP and the Congress 13 percent.
“Aam Aadmi Party vote share projected to be 5 percent in UP; the same as in January tracker,” the survey said.
