Kochi : Jet Airways will Saturday launch its services to the Middle East from Kochi, New Delhi and Mumbai, the company announced here Friday.
Ragini Chopra of Jet Airways said: “Tomorrow our flights would take off to Bahrain and Kuwait from Kochi, to Bahrain from Mumbai and to Kuwait from Delhi.
“Following the inaugural flights, we will have two flights daily to Bahrain and Kuwait,” she added.
With Saturday’s inaugural flights, Jet Airways will become India’s first private airline to fly to the Middle East.
Sources at Jet Airways said flights to the Gulf from Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode in Kerala would also begin this month.
Over two million people of Kerala origin live in the Gulf.
