Cairo : Arab foreign ministers are to meet and deliberate later Saturday, at the Arab League headquarters, on their upcoming formal conference tomorrow focusing on the issues of the political instability in Lebanon and Palestinian territories.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, who had flown to the Egyptian capital Friday, is to take part in both meetings. He called for Arab action in both areas.
Sheikh Mohammad, who spoke to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on his arrival here, called for concerted Arab action to help Lebanon elect a consensual president.
Arab foreign ministers are also to discuss the outcome of the Annapolis Conference, which was held in the US city by the same name to bring the Palestinian and Israelis back together on track for final status talks.
The ministers are also expected to discuss the upcoming visit to some Arab countries by US President George W. Bush.
Meanwhile, Arab delegations are still arriving to the Egyptian capital to attend the emergency conference, which was jointly called for by Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
