IAF chief stresses on personnel training training

Bangalore : Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha Thursday emphasised the role of training air warriors for battle preparedness.

“We must concentrate on improving the quality of training with modern infrastructure and team building through people management,” Raha said while inaugurating a two-day station commanders conference here of the IAF Training Command.

Visiting the Indian Air Force (IAF) Training Command headquarters here for the first time after taking over as Chief of Air Staff Jan 1, Raha presented the best flying establishment trophy to air force station at Bidar in north Karnataka, about 700 km from here, and best airmen training institute trophy to ETI, air force station at Jalahalli in the city.

The air force chief interacted with air warriors and civilian staff of the training command here after an impressive guard of honour.

Raha also gave away the best information welfare station trophy to the air force administrative college at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and the best ground training establishment trophy to air force technical college at Jalahalli.

Earlier, the Training Command’s Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Air Marshal Paramjit Singh Gill received Raha and his wife Lily Raha.
