No horse-trading in Delhi government formation: Rajnath

Jammu: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Saturday said a “democratic process” will be followed for government formation in Delhi and that no “horse-trading” will take place.

The minister was on a day-long visit to take stock of the grim flood situation in Jammu and Kashmir and spoke to the media at the Jammu airport.

On being queried about the possibilities of government formation in Delhi, Rajnath Singh said: “Democratic process will be followed and no horse-trading will take place.”

Delhi is under president’s rule after AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal quit as the chief minister in February this year.

The union minister also spoke on the repeated ceasefire violations by the Pakistani side on the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border in the state.

He said ceasefire violations have taken place in the past also.

“We believe in dialogue and peace process, but if these violations do not stop, India has other options also to address them,” he said.
