Aligarh: Forum For Muslim studies & Analysis (FMSA) has demanded that Union Minister for HRD Smriti Irani should re-constitute committees of the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL).
NCPUL is an apex body for the development of the Urdu language in country which takes up developmental work through its various committees. The term of the committees of NCPUL has expired in June 2014 and in the meantime the government at centre changed.
In a letter sent to Union Minister, the secretary of FMSA Jasim Mohammad has pointed out that the committee has not been constituted till now due to which developmental work of Urdu language is negatively affecting.
He has demanded that Union HRD minister should re-constitute the said committees immediately. He has pointed out that re-constitution of committees will send a positive message among Urdu speaking messes for Modi government.
