Eid-ul-Adha to be celebrated on Oct 6

Lucknow: Qazi-e-Shaher and Sadar, Marqazi Chand Committee of Lucknow Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli has announced that Zil-Hijja could not be cited on 29 Zeeqadah (September 25). Hence, the first date of Zil-Hijja will be on September 27. Henceforth Eid-ul-Adha (Baqreed) will be celebrated on October 6 on Monday. At Aishbagh Eidgah in Lucknow, the Eid-ul-Adha Namaz will be offered at 10 am.

Similarly Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari who is also President of Markazi Royat-e-Hilal Committee, Delhi has also informed that the moon of Zil-Hijjah could not be visible in Delhi today on the 29th of Zeeqadah vis 25th Sept, 2014 (Thursday) and there is not even any evidence of the moon’s visibility from anywhere as yet.

Therefore he has also announced that the 1st of Zil-Hijjah falls on the 27th Sept, 2014 (Friday). And Eidul-Azha falls on 6th October 2014 (Monday).
