London: Four men were arrested Tuesday in a series of police raids launched across London as part of an investigation into “Islamist-related terrorism”, a media report said.
The suspects were detained by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command at addresses across London, Xinhua reported.
One suspect was tasered during his arrest, but did not require medical treatment, according to the police.
“A number of residential addresses and vehicles are being searched by specialist officers in west and central London as part of the investigation. The searches are ongoing,” British media cited a police statement as saying.
All four suspects were taken to police stations in central London and remained in custody.
