New Delhi: Bharatiya Dalit Church (BDC), committed to preach good news to the socially outcaste and economically poor dalits, will be inaugurated tomorrow here.
“Our vision is to preach the Gospel to the dalits who are so-called untouchables, who are contantly rejected, persecuted, shamed and driven to the fringes of the society and to restore their identity as the image and likeness of God,” a release from S Arockiyadoss @ Timothy, president and founder of the BDC, said.
A seminar on the topic ‘Why Bharatiya Dalit Church?’ will be held after the inauguration, which will be addressed by Church leaders, advocates, former IPS officer and even a Member of Parliament. The BDC will be inaugurated at Bible Bhavan (Amrita Shergil Marg) tomorrow at 4 pm.
“Our dream is to create a casteless society as envisaged by Dr BR Ambedkar, where all are equal, which is the Kingdom of God preached by Jesus. Our mean is by restoring and regaining the lost identity, rich history and culture of the Dalits in an exclusive Indian Dalit way based on Christian ethics and values,” the release added.
