Jammu : Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jitendra Singh Monday said that the BJP is the only political party committed to protecting communal harmony and ensuring development without discrimination.
Singh, who hails from Jammu region, appealed to residents of Kishtwar to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally in Kishtwar town in large numbers Nov 22.
Jitendra Singh Monday held a series of public meetings in far-flung areas of Marwah, Warwan, Nagsani and Duchhan.
“People of Kishtwar have now realized that while other political parties thrive by creating communal tension, this is not the case with BJP.
“With the taking over of Narendra Modi as the prime minister, a golden era of development has begun and the most fortunate beneficiary of this is the remote area of Kishtwar, because the prime minister has a special concern for such backward areas which have been victims of the past 60 years of neglect.
“The best evidence of this is available from the fact that it is Kishtwar that the Prime Minister has decided to choose as his venue for election rally on Nov 22,” he said.
He appealed to people from the entire region to come together to the Kishtwar main ground for “Margdarshan” from Narendra Modi, who is being acknowledged worldwide as the tallest leader of contemporary India.
He urged the people of Kishtwar to vote for BJP candidate Sunil Sharma.
Kishtwar goes to polls Nov 25 in the first phase of the five-phased assembly election.
