Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University has signed an agreement with Smile Train, an International charity organization. The organization sponsors free cleft lip/ palate surgery for the poor and needy children.
The Chairman, Department of Plastic Surgery, JN Medical College and the Director, Smile Train Project, Professor Arshad Hafeez Khan, informed that the agreement empowers the Department of Plastic Surgery, JN Medical College, and AMU to conduct the operation of cleft lip / palate free of charge.
Prof Khan further informed that any child having cleft lip/ palate can be brought to the plastic surgery OPD No 18 at JN Medical College on all week days except Sunday. He said that Prof Tariq Mansoor, Principal and CMS, JN Medical College has assured all possible support for the initiative.
