Islamabad : The Pakistani parliament Thursday unanimously adopted a resolution against blasphemous caricatures published in the French weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Railway Minister Saad Rafique tabled the resolution and read it out in the National Assembly, Dawn online reported.
The resolution called upon the international community including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and European Union to take action against the publication of such material.
“These cartoons are a conspiracy to create misunderstanding among civilisations,” the resolution read.
Last week, gunmen attacked the magazine’s offices in Paris, killing 12 people.
