Founder Chairman of Al Ameen Education Society felicitated

Kolkata/Haldia: Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, the Founder Chairman of Al Ameen Education Society, Bangalore was honoured with `Life Time Achievement Award’ by Haldia Indian Center for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE) at Haldia on Thursday, 12 March.

Dr Khan was felicitated as recognition of his valuable educational movement and services he rendered for the upliftment of the minority communities in Karnataka. He was invited for a seminar called by MBA department of Haldia Institute of Management and Haldia Institute of Technology under the management of ICARE.

Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, the Founder Chairman of Al Ameen Education Society, felicitated at Haldia by ICARE.

After the seminar, ICARE felicitated to Dr Khan with `Life Time Achievement Award’ of behalf of their twelve educational Institutes former MP Lakshman Sheth.

The seminar was on theme of `How to build young entrepreneurs in the era of globalization’. Dr Khan advised the management students to have confidence, patience, determination, continuation, courage and ability to ignore criticism to become successful entrepreneurs.

Managing Director of Zyris Derma Care Private Limited of Chennai Dr Srinivasan Surianarayanan, Secretary of Al Ameen Education Society Subhan Shariff, General Manager of Al Ameen Institute of Pharmaceutical and Allied Management Abdul Rafique, Executive Vice President of Haldia United Phosphorus Ltd Subinoy Jana, Director of Haldia Institute of Technology Dr. Promod Kumar, Director of Haldia Institute of Management Dr. S N Banerjee and many others distinguished personalities also took part in the seminar.

Dr Khan started the Al Ammen Education Society in 1966 at Bengaluru, Karnataka that went on to start several educational institutions, including medical and management colleges to spread education, particularly among the minority communities.

ICARE set up in 1995, is a voluntary organization registered under Societies Registration Act 1961 that runs 12 educational institutions in the industrial town of Haldia in East Medinipur district of West Bengal, including Management College, Technical College, Medical and Dental college, Teacher Training College, etc.
