New Delhi : An inter-ministerial team of officials will be sent to Nepal to coordinate the India-assisted relief and rescue work, Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar said on Sunday.
This was decided in a high-level meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that was attended by cabinet ministers.
“One of the outcomes of the meet was that a senior level inter-ministerial team will be sent to Kathmandu to coordinate,” Jaishankar told reporters.
“The work of the team will be to coordinate practical implementation. It will be headed by an additional secretary level official from home ministry,” he added.
