During this month, we request you to consider EquallyAble for your donations and support the “Give Hope 1000” initiative which is aimed at reducing poverty among persons with disabilities by creating 1000 small businesses. These include tea stalls, book stores, copy centers, sewing machines, juice stalls, etc. Each small business can be started for just $500 and is customized to the beneficiary’s skill sets and abilities. Inshallah Tala, we hope that this initiative will change the lives of 1000 individuals and their families for the better.
Since 2001, EquallyAble Foundation has dedicated itself to improving the lives of those with disabilities across the globe. EquallyAble has provided assistance to around 5500 individuals with disabilities with approximately $900,000 approved. Over 35,000 people have attended various inclusion and disability awareness seminars and workshops in the USA through EquallyAble’s outreach programs. WAYS TO HELP THE IMPOVERISHED this RAMADAN 2015:
Give to the Needy in India in Time for Ramadan!
$1 provides one cooked meal or 4 meals in grains per day
$10 per person for Fitra
$20 provides a new Eid outfit for a child or an adult
$60 provides grains (groceries) for a family of 4 for all of Ramadan
$150 provides an entire village’s iftar of 150-200 people
Highlights of our ZAKAT DISTRIBUTION over the last year:
Provided 1.6 million meals in grains during Ramadan.
Performed 4,662 Qurbanis benefitting over 12,000 families
Provided emergency relief in Kashmir with food, medicine and clothing.
Began school/masjid construction in 12 new Project REED sites.
Treated over 8,000 at the Indo-US hospital
Screened over 19,000 patients for eyes diseases
Performed 465 cataract surgeries with lens implant
Provided 2,500 dialysis sessions
Supported 119 orphans through our ‘1,000 Orphans Project’

Each Ramadan, we conduct a feeding and food package program for the poor and needy. With our cost effective program, each meal (in grains) costs only $.25 cents. We reach out to rural areas and city slums to as many impoverished families as possible so they can enjoy Ramadan with food for suhoor and iftaar and celebrate Eid with your Zakat-ul-Fitr.
Our program extends beyond providing cooked meals and grains. We also provide the opportunity for children and adults to have new Eid clothes. For as low as $20 a child or an adult can have a new Eid outfit.
