Islamabad: Pakistan on Thursday confirmed a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian Premier Narendra Modi on the sidlines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in the Russian city of Ufa, media reported.
Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi M. Khalilullah said the meeting was suggested by Indian officials to “which we responded positively”, Geo News reported.
Sharif left Norwegian capital Oslo on Thursday for Ufa in Russia on the second leg of his visit where he would attend the 15th SCO Summit and 7th BRICS Summit.
During his two-day visit to Russia, Sharif was looking forward to holding meetings with the participating leaders, including the Russian, Chinese and Afghan presidents.
