Bengaluru: Rain and thundershowers will occur at most places in coastal Karnataka, south Karnataka and north Karnataka, a weather official said on Monday.
Coastal Karnataka districts include Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada; north Karnataka districts include Belgaum, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Bidar, Ballari, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Gadag, Dharwad, Haveri and Koppal; while Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kodagu, Kolar, Hassan, Mandya, Mysore Ramanagara and Tumkur are in south Karnataka.
The met department has forecast a cloudy weather with chances of rainfall and gusty winds in some areas in Bengaluru.
No rainfall was recorded in Bengaluru until Sunday and the relative humidity was at 88 percent.
“The maximum temperature in Bengaluru is likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature would be around 20 degrees Celsius,” the official said.
On Sunday, Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 31.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was 20.8 degrees, one notch higher above the season’s average
Raichur recorded the highest temperature in Karnataka on Sunday with 38 degrees Celsius, while Gulbarga recorded 37.8 and Bijapur 35 degrees respectively.
