Kolkata: Indian tennis aces Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza will team up against compatriot Leander Paes and his fancied partner at an exhibition mixed doubles match ‘Tennis Masters 2015’ here on November 25.
Fresh from winning his 16th Grand Slam at Wimbledon last month partnering Swiss star Martina Hingis to the mixed doubles title, local boy Paes would either pair up with Hingis or Slovak Daniela Hantuchova at the Netaji Indoor stadium.
“Bhupathi will partner Sania. Paes will play alongside either Martina or Hantuchova,” former Davis Cup captain Jaidip Mukerjea told media persons here.
The match has been organised by the Jaidip Mukerjea Tennis Academy in association with the state government.
Hantuchova has already confirmed her participation in the one-day best of three set fixture, Mukerjea said.
Besides, India’s leading singles players Yuki Bhambri and Somdev Devvarman are expected to be present for the match which will be a prelude to the second edition of the Indian Premier Tennis League slated to start in Japan from December 2.
