Jhabua blasts: 59 detonators seized from main accused’s house

Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): Police have seized 59 detonators and two batteries from the house of Rajendra Kaswal, the main accused in the blasts case in Jhabua district’s Petlawad town.

Police broke open the lock of Kaswal’s house in the presence of local representatives and seized the detonators and batteries.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered the dismissal of officials responsible for deriliction of duty in the Petlawad town blast case and the transfer of the entire staff of the area police station.

After the chief minister ordered the removal of the sub-divisional magistrate and sub-divisional police officer in the case, authorities have got busy in taking action against the erring officials.

Chouhan will on Monday again meet with the families of people killed in the blast near the new bus stand at Petlawad town, which killed 88 people and injured more than 100 others on Saturday.

The chief minister met the survivors on Sunday, during which he faced protests from angry people who demanded action against erring officials.

Meanwhile, Jhabua’s Additional Superintendent of Police Seema Alwa told IANS that police have raided many place to arrest Kaswal.
