New Delhi : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday visited External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who is admitted in the AIIMS for chest congestion, pneumonia and arthritis problems.
“Yes, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh has come to AIIMS to meet Sushma Swaraj ji. He reached around 6 p.m. and is still with her only,” said a source at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Chouhan visited Sushma Swaraj in the wake of some reports suggesting she may be discharged in the evening. She was hospitalised on Monday with fever and chest congestion, along with symptoms of pneumonia. She has been a cardiac patient for long.
The union minister was expected to be discharged on Friday but she was not. Though the AIIMS authorities said Sushma Swaraj was recovering well, sources said, her condition has deteriorated since Thursday evening.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi visited Swaraj at AIIMS.
Swaraj is undergoing treatment under Pulmonary medicine expert Randeep Gulleria.
