Gaza : The Palestine death toll has reached 38 in an escalation of Israeli attacks against Gaza Strip, which continue on Saturday.
The Israeli air force killed two members of Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement on Saturday and as commented by the press, this is the biggest offensive against Gaza since that group of resistance took control of the area in July.
A second bombing of Gaza left no victims.
Meanwhile, a third person died as consequence of injuries suffered during Thursday’s attack, reported Palestinian medical sources.
From September 2000 until October 2007 the Palestinian death toll reached 5,300 with 60,000 wounded, according to statistics from the National Palestinian Information Center.
Ban Ki-moon, UN secretary general expressed his concern for the closing of the frontiers and demanded to stop the attacks which are threatening to burden the peace talks aimed at creating a Palestinian State by 2009.
