New Delhi : A final year graduation student of the Kirori Mal College was admitted to the Bara Hindu Rao Hospital here after he allegedly slashed his wrist in an attempt to commit suicide, the police said.
Kuldeep Shukla, 23, son of an army official, told the police he was under enormous mental depression after failing in an entrance exam.
“Shukla in his statement said that he boozed heavily last night (Monday) and accidentally slashed his wrist with a blade in his hostel room. His friends rushed him to the hospital,” said a senior police official.
The police official said Shukla was out of danger, and no case has been registered yet.
