Baghdad : Six US soldiers were killed in insurgent attacks across Iraq, military said Sunday.
Two soldiers were killed Saturday in a roadside bomb attack near their patrol during operations in the northern Nineveh province, the military said in a statement.
Another soldier was killed and two others injured in a roadside bomb attack in western Baghdad, the military said.
Militants killed a soldier with small arms fire while he was patrolling south of Baghdad area, a separate statement said.
A trooper was killed and four more were wounded when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle in Diyala province, northeast of the capital.
A soldier died of wounds sustained from a roadside bomb explosion near their vehicle while conducting operations in the volatile Diyala province. Two more soldiers were also wounded in the attack.
More than 3,480 US soldiers have been killed since the US-led coalition forces seized Iraq in 2003, according to media tally based on Pentagon figures.
